Trophy Winners to Date: Graham Cup Ambrose - Charlie & Shane Downs Summer Cup - Graham Kelly Rutherford Memorial - Kris Kretschmar Strokeplay Championships: Seniors - Tony Cawley Intermediate - Brad Gibbons Junior - Kris Kretschmar 23rd June 2008 Saturdays Par competition winner was MJ Taylor, with an impressive 7 up, ahead of B Kretschmar's 3 up, then B Cave 2 up, D Robertson & G Kite 1 up, and B Arthur, K Gwerder and G Kelly square with the card. Three of the semifinalists have been found for the Captains Trophy with H Morton & C Caskey through in the seniors and S Jury through in the juniors. B Cave plays G Bishop this Saturday for the second junior spot. The Top Dog and Underdog semis are to be played this week, with stableford rounds for those not involved in matches. The draw is - 10.30am M Cook, M Fraser v W Dymond, J Cusdin 10.37am G Radich, D Banham v H Morton, D Robertson 10.45am J Erwood, K Clough v P Theron, K Johns 10.52am G Otterson, D Taylor v S Jury, D Bates 11.00am B Cave v G Bishop. Plus 2 11.07 to 12 noon. Starters Times. Phone B Gibbons for a tee time The 10th tee will also be available intermittently. The Holden Scramble is all on on 28th September. It is a 3 man ambrose event, open to all golfers with an official New Zealand Handicap. Ladies Golf Hole in One On Tuesday 10th June, one of our nine hole members, Ann Gordon, scored a hole in one on the 5th hole, the Gap - 133 metres. The competition of the day was Grandmothers day and it was lovely for all Grandmothers and Nanas present (and most of us are) to celebrate with Ann. Congratulations. Taranaki Women's Pennant finals. The final of this year's pennant will be held at Stratford on Monday 23rd June, between Waverley and Fitzroy. It will be played over 18 holes and spectators are welcome. Manaia play Hawera for 3rd & 4th. | |
